Cet article examine comment le journal La Voz de Michoacán a changé la
manière de faire référence à un secteur peu analysé par l’historiographie
mexicaine : les sourds. Se souligne le rôle de la presse, pour répandre et modifier
les points de vue et les perspectives des gens sur ce collectif, à travers
l’analyse des documents concernant les sourds et leur contextualisation dans
processus comme la mise en oeuvre du modèle médical de rétablissement,
