Cette recherche a pour objectifl’explication du processus d’urbanisation à
l’époque de Porfirio Díaz au Baja California Sur notamment  à San José del
Cabo, un village d’origine missionnaire qui se trouve au sud de la pénin-
sule. Nous reprenons cette idée: la ville urbaine est un espace remarqué
par l’existence d’un échange commercial régulier, d’une fonction politique-
administrative et d’une organisation social relativement marquée
par les différences. Le texte est composé de quadre parties. On peut avertir
que le processus d’urbanisation a eu un ordre légal comme support à
l’organisation de l’espace et aux services publiques.
