Una de las expresiones del nacionalismo chileno fue la revista Estanquero. Esta destacó por su anticomunismo, se podría decir que casi visceral, lo cual ha servido, además, para identificarla como un órgano de expresión de la derecha radical. Por otro lado, también se la podría considerar cercana al populismo de derechas, dada la polisemia del término y sus diversos enfoques, que englobarían a aquellos que mantienen determinadas posturas críticas con la democracia liberal. Pero este artículo va más allá e intenta indagar sobre su adhesión a la candidatura de Ibáñez del Campo en 1952 (en su afán de posicionarse más allá de las derechas e izquierdas) y a su programa de gobierno.
