de Francisco Xavier y el Sumario de las cosas de Japón, escrito por el visitador jesuita de las Indias Orientales, Alessandro Valignano. Primero se presenta un panorama general de la investigación en el ámbito académico europeo, americano y japonés. Posteriormente, se muestran las perspectivas multidisciplinarias que se han desarrollado en las últimas décadas desde el punto de vista histórico, social, antropológico, religioso, cultural, geográfico y lingÃ¼ístico.
